Iconoid

Use Iconoid to hide your desktop icons when your cursor is not on the desktop so that you can see your desktop wallpaper. Make your desktop icon backgrounds transparent or change the color of the text or background. Save and restore icon positions.

It just makes my desktop look a lot better when I have photo as wallpaper. I just like it.

this is easy to use and great to get rid of those annoying icons.
