Powerful archiver and archive manager. RAR files can usually compress content 8 to 30 percent better than ZIP files. Main features are strong compression, processing of non-RAR archives, long filename support, self-extracting archives and more.

Winrar 3.20 may be the best general use archiver today.

It has everything the other big name archivers do (Winzip/Winace) and more.
You can use it's native rar format for maximizing compression, or create zip files for speed and compatability issues.

Before I found Winrar, I thought Winzip was THE archiving tool.

Winrar will compress and decompress in zip format, or it's powerful native rar format.

You also get more for your money with Winrar, (compreshensive SFX funtions are fully included with the archiver for example).
